MULTICULTURAL NIGHT:

The purpose of Multicultural night is to affirm and celebrate the unique heritage of our students. This program is intended to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation for all people and cultures. We will explore our heritages and the impact that it has had on the world that we live in. Students will be able to learn from each other about one another.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity from Jarvis Christian College performed, a short skit was done by 8th graders as to why knowing your heritage is important, students performed Who am I of famous people from different cultures, and poetry was recited by students. We had an awesome turn out and a great program

LEAD Cookout:

On Saturday, December 14th , the PBIS Team hosted their Cookout in honor of A.T. Stewart’s Male Mentoring Program.

The theme for this event was:  Survival

Team Building, Facing Challenges & Mental Toughness

This was an opportunity for our male students to socialize and mingle with their mentors as well as the established men, male college and high school athletes in our community.  The young men were split into teams and completed a grueling survival obstacle course.  Team Building and Mental Toughness were definitely traits necessary to be successful in the challenges.  The teams were coached by Men of the community, John Tyler’s Varsity Basketball Team and College Athletes.  This was truly an inspiring and exciting event!

An inspiring speech was given by:  Darrell Piske, Athletic Director & Head Football Coach(Robert E Lee High School)
